AYSO Orchestra, consisting of approximately 70 musicians, has performed in the past five years in Italy and abroad always with excellent feedback from the public and critics. AYSO Orchestra, thanks to the progressive professionalisation work of the selected musicians based on the highest international standards, triumphed two years in a row (2022 and 2023) at the prestigious Summa cum Laude International Competition in Vienna, winning over the international jury and being awarded first prize in the Youth Symphony Orchestras category, competing against orchestras from all over the world.
The Orchestra has also performed in several theatres considered temples of classical music, such as the Smetana Hall in Prague, the Haydn Saal of the Esterhazy Palace in Eisenstadt, the Golden Hall of the Musikverein and the Konzerthaus in Vienna. AYSO also proudly represented Italy by collaborating with the Embassies of Vienna and Prague for several concerts, played for the Festival International des Orchestres de Jeunes in Aix en Provence, the International Festival organised by the Walton Foundation in Ischia, for the Fondazione Teatro Petruzzelli, for the Festival Como Città Classica at the Teatro Sociale in Como, for the Naples Theatre Festival playing at the Royal Palace, for the Italian Brass Week at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, for the International Festival of Youth Orchestras in Florence collaborating with the CMC Orchestra of New York. The young musicians of AYSO have shared the stage with numerous soloists from the world of international classical music such as Dumitru Pocitari, Camille Thomas, Boris Brovtzyn, Alexander Chaushian, Davide Alogna, Marco Rizzi, Anna Serova, Burak Bilgili, Esteban Batallan, Michal Balas.
